Andy Blum

Andrew Blum is a veteran Public Relations Executive and former Journalist. In addition to acting as D-Squared's Public Relations Consultant he is a PR Director and Media Trainer servicing proactive, reactive and crisis communication needs for a wide range of clients through his PR consultancy AJB Communications.

Andy has directed PR in connection with high profile and crisis issues involving politicians, lobbyists, CEOs, the military, families and individuals. He has also implemented social media programs, blogs and manages several twitter feeds.

Andy's media contacts extend from television (network news, cable outlets, business shows) to national and local print journalists and radio stations.  He has placed clients and their stories on varied programs often for repeat guest appearances. Before consulting to D-Squared he was the Media Relations Manager of an international corporate law firm.

At D-Squared he has consulted on PR issues for some of our legal, healthcare and content marketing clients. He also helped direct marketing and publicity efforts for several of our films including THE LAST JEWS OF BAGHDAD and PLAY IT BY EAR.

Prior to entering Public Relations Andy was a Reporter, Editor and Writer with articles published in The Wall Street Journal, New York Times Syndicate, Time Magazine, ABCNews.com, The International Herald Tribune, USA Today, LA Times, UPI and many others.

Andy is a member of PRSA, IABC, NYFWA and LFMP and is a frequent speaker and moderator at Public Relations seminars, webinars and conferences throughout the country. He is a guest writer and blogger on PR issues for numerous publications.

Andy is a journalism graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and lives in New York City.
